The Art of Stewardship Project is a private foundation established by the Mort Family to encourage stewardship of the Earth and environmental awareness through the fine arts.  A grass roots effort, The Art of Stewardship collaborates with arts institutions to organize exhibitions and forums for interaction and dialogue offering resources and opportunities to artists in their role as Stewards of our Earth. 

 

~ The Art of Stewardship initiates and hosts seminars, exhibitions for artists, environmental and educational organizations to explore creative ideas, alliances and partnerships which support sustainability of the environment.

 

~ The Art of Stewardship Project provides local, state, national and global information and resources to individuals artists and arts and environmental organizations that wish to interface on this issue.

             

~ The Art of Stewardship Project and Greg Mort will teach by example through its Clinton Global Initiative partnership with Circle of Blue www.Circleofblue.org the preeminent global organization raising awareness of the Earth’s fresh water crisis.

In 2014 The Art of Stewardship collaborated with the National Science Foundation, The Antarctican Society and the PEW Foundation to bring together artists and scientists who have worked in the Antarctic for THE ART OF STEWARDSHIP AND THE ANTARCTIC SEMINAR. The event gathered one hundred seventy five participants and took place in Port Clyde, Maine. Presentations, demonstrations and discussions included film, visual art and the literary arts.
